KARACHI, May 22: A man stabbed to death his wife in North Nazimabad on Tuesday, police said.

They said that the incident took place at Arafat Town within the remit of the Taimuria police station, where Ghulam Baqar killed his 35-year-old wife, Sajida, and surrendered to the police.

Area SHO Kamal Naseem said that the man had given a statement to the police that he was suspicious about the character of his wife and during an altercation he stabbed her.

The police shifted the body to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

They said that the victim was mother of five and hailed from Rajanpur in Punjab.

Meanwhile, police on Tuesday found the body of a man near Superhighway close to Maymar Mor within the precinct of the Sachal police station.

The police said that the body was found hanging on a Neem tree.

Area SHO Azhar Ali Iqbal said that the body was shifted to the Edhi morgue for identification.
